South East Cultural Centre

Acting as a conceptual proposition during the Three Sisters 2020 bid for the European Capital of Culture, SECC operated online to test the potentials of a regional 'arts centre'.  Acting as an online,  cross-county cultural centre it's role was to compliment the 'Arts Centres' role of increasing connectivity, access, participation and education, to and within high-quality contemporary art and culture.

During its short life many aspects of SECC proved useful and in high demand from practitioners and audiences across the South East. The cultural network saw over 3,500 creative practitioners sign up to showcase what they do and over 50 creative spaces and venues across the region and beyond using the network to advertise their events.

Once a fortnight the OG Social Cinema programme which screened via the SECC website was a major hit seeing people log on from every nook and cranny across the South East to watch and discuss each screening.
