OG were delighted to attend what we were told was the largest Creative Ireland Meeting in the country. While we were here we voiced the need for the Local Authority to set its focus on the needs of its native, cultural practitioners, such as affordable, professional work-spaces, artist-led events/programmes and artist driven policy. 

Since this meeting Wexford has seen great things develop including affordable workspaces for creative practitioners which is brought as a collaboration between the Arts Department and Wexford Art Centre. The Arts Department have now also introduced a Small Arts Festival & Experimental Events Grant Scheme (2018) which gives tremendous scope and possibilities of support for Artist led events and programmes. 

The OG team were delighted to be present and voice our opinions and we look forward to seeing further positive developments take place throughout the county.
