BRIEF: In short this exhibition in all its forms deals with the many conceptions, ideas and associations revolving around the term brief. In many ways the formal set-up of this exhibition functions within the very notion of the term Brief as 'short in time, or a concise set of principles for something beyond or outside itself'.

BRIEF: As well as only remaining for a short period of time in a pop-up art space, brief gives a snapshot or brief 'view' into the varying practices of participating artists. Although each artist deals with concerns specific to their own practice they all inquire into the very notion of the term brief as 'statement' and the notion of the 'text' as brief or 'something missing'.

BRIEF: All works whether visual or sonic in nature are concerned with that very aspect. Each artists work encompasses its own peripheries within its own internal logic and not necessarily led by extra-visual/sonic discourse or Art History

OG were delighted that this exhibition took place within an opened up commercial space within the town during the Market House Festival.  Work for the show came through partnering with the Crawford Gallery Cork and Farpoint Recordings.
